Itchington II’s ended their season on a losing note as Henley avenged their defeat earlier in the season.
Henley chose to bat first on a muggy afternoon and Thompson (25) and Yates (6) put on 44 for the 1st wicket. But it was the 3rd wicket partnership of 130 between Sampson (76) and German (54) that set Henley on the way to a imposing total but the both fell in the last crucial overs as Buchholz grabbed 4-26 to restrict Henley to “only” 220.
Itchington’s reply struggled against an accurate bowling attack Hamed being particularly impressive taking 3-20 off 9 overs. Buchholz (34) and Insall (40) put on 58 for the 3rd wicket but both fell trying to accelerate the scoring rate, Parsons scored a quick fire 27 but Key’s 4-58 ensured that Itchington slipped to a 4th successive defeat.
