Played Saturday 16th August

Cotswold Hills League – Division 2

Itchington produced a good all round performance as they managed to beat bogey team Campden at the sixth time of asking.
After being given first knock the home side scored intermittently, mostly in boundaries, as only 30 runs were compiled in the opening 15 overs. They recovered to 87-2 but veteran Stephen Rawbone (2-15) accounted for Lewis (37) and Godson (19).
Despite knocks of 26 from Grey and 25 n.o and 14 n.o. from Reason and Harrison respectively, with 59 being scored in the last 10 overs, Campden never got away on the slow pitch reaching 160-5, Craig White returning 2-22 in 10 excellent overs.
Itchington got off to the worst possible reply being 0-2 after 11 balls. The remainder of the match however was dominated by a superb stand of 144 between Tom Cooper and Alex Jack. They picked off any bad deliveries and combined with brilliant running they virtually saw Itchington home.
Jack fell for 57, but Cooper remained unbeaten on 89, as victory was achieved with 7 wickets and 14 overs to spare.
