LI produced a better performance than the previous week to defeat a weakened Shipston side. The visitors, batting first, had lost both openers by the sixth over with only 17 on the board. Hince hit hard but was 3rd out at 44 for 21. Two wickets to Nick Brooks saw the score slip to 58-5. Despite a quickfire 24 from Hirst a brace from Stephen Rawbone saw the Town team subside to 92-7 in the 23rd over. A stand of 43 followed as McDyke and Aldridge mixed caution with selective shot play as LI could not bowl straight enough. The returning Brooks grabbed two quick wickets, including Aldridge, and with McDyke running himself out for a top score of 34 the innings ended at 156 with 5 overs to spare. Brooks finished with 4-43 and was ably supported by Tom Perks 2-29 and Rawbone 2-25. With the pitch still playing well, and with a quick outfield, the home side punished some loose early bowling and had raced to 66 when Will Grindal fell for 36 in the 10th over. Martyn Rawbone was 2nd out for 40 in the 17th over at 98 and despite a little wobble Richard Cressey 44 n.o. and Nick Brooks 18 n.o. saw LI home by 6 wickets in the 27th over despite 2-28 from Goodson.
