RDCL u13 League Match Result LICC v Rugby 09/06/09
The details of the RDCL u13 League Match between Long Itchington and Rugby played in Long Itchington this evening were as follows:
Under grey threatening clouds Long Itchington won the toss and asked Rugby to bat first on a good pitch after all the recent rains. Rugby batted well initially as Raj made an excellent 26 not out but their innings failed to “push-on” wih good Long Itchington fielding quickly producing 3 run outs, the pick of the which was by Luke Chamberlain as Rugby came up a little short at 88 allout in 17 overs. Jamie Breakwell took 3 for 19 for Long Itchington in 4 overs.
In reply despite a few early hiccups Long Itchington knocked 89 for 3 wickets in 13.2 overs reasonably quickly, Sam Hain 25 retired/not out and Will Davies 19 not out led the way for Long Itchington. Kishan took 2 for 15 for Rugby in his 4 overs before the inevitable rains came swiftly just after the game was completed.
Match Result: Long Itchington u13 won by 7 wickets.
