WCB U11 League Match Leek Wootton V LICC 01/06/09
On a superb sunny summers` evening in Leek Wootton the details of the wcb u11 League match between Leek Wootton & Long Itchington were as follows:
Long Itchington won the toss and decided to bat first against a young, inexperienced Leek Wootton side. Runs then flowed easily as Long Itchington totalled 352 for 2 wickets (net 342) in their 16 overs. Will Davies top-scored with 52 not out (2 6s,9 4s) with Alex Bruce 33 not out and Sam Green-Armytage 19 not out also supporting. For Leek Wootton George Dick took 1 for 28 in 3 overs. In reply Leek Wootton scored 248 for 9 wickets (net 203) in 16 overs Alex Perkins top-scoring with 0 not out, Harris Quereshi taking 2 for 2 for Long Itchington.So Long Itchington won by 139 runs but Leek Wootton impressed with their spirit and good humour whilst facing a more experienced team.
