RDCL u13 League Result: Long Buckby v LICC 30/06/09
On a hot, close night in Long Buckby the details of the u13 League match between Long Buckby and Long Itchington were as follows:
Long Itchington won the toss and decided to bat first in stifling conditions and scored 126 for 5 wickets in their 20 overs. Will Davies top-scored with 25 Ret/not out but was well supported with 18 from Adam Angove and 14 from Peter Newman. M. James 2 for 7 and H.Ball 2 for 17 bowled well for Long Buckby and several good catches were taken on a night when batsmen contrived to get themselves out on a good pitch including one memorable Hit Wicket!
In reply Long Buckby quickly lost 5 early wickets and eventually scored 63 for 8 wickets in their 20 overs. S.Duval 14 and Adam Leahy 13 batted defiantly for Buckby as Adam Angove 2 for 8, Will Davies 2 for 10 and Alex Bruce 2 for 16 bowled LICC to the win.
Match Result: Long Itchington won by 63 runs.
