WCB u10 League Result: Long Itchington v Stratford 6/7/09
The details of tonights u10 league match between Long Itchington and Stratford were as follows:
On a damp showery night in Long Itchington both teams did well to play out this match whilst dodging in and out of the showers. Long Itchington won the toss and asked Stratford to bat first, they lost 3 early wickets before recovering to a respectable 285 for 7 wickets in 16 overs (net 250).Colia Louis hit 16 not out and Thomas Stanley 9 not out for Stratford, whilst Joe Tresedern took 3-14 and Adam Jones 2-13 for Long Itchington.
In reply Long Itchington`s innings spluttered along losing too many wickets before last pair Ryan Comyns (8*) and Stephen Crump (6*) gave the score line of 253 for 8 wickets (net 213) a little more substance.Man of the match Colia Louis took 3 for 11 in his 3 overs for Stratford.
Match Result: Stratford won by 37 runs.
