RDCL u15 League Match LICC v Guilsborough 29/07/2010.
On a pleasant Summer`s evening in Long Itchington, Guilsborough arrived a little late so an 18 over game was decided upon. Long Itchington won the toss and decided to bat, Nathan Hooker (50*ret) and Jamie Breakwell (38) put on 85 in 7 overs to dispirit the visitors and useful knocks by Ryan Stephen (17) and Craig Gaskins (14) took them to 158 for 6 wickets in 18 overs. In reply Guilsborough batted steadily but only Cameron McLean (19) and Adrain Coote (15) offered real resistance in their 94 for 8 wickets in 18 overs. Birthday boy James Wilkinson took 3 for 19 and almost achieved a hat-trick and Craig Gaskins also bowled well taking 2 for 13 as Long Itchington won by 64 runs. The u15 team can now win this league with victory next week against Yelvertoft.
